"Bona nit" [Good Night] captures dialogues between the Moon and the Earth. It presents a social critique of our planet’s destruction at the hands of humanity.
The Moon, our tireless celestial observer, argues with her friend, the Earth. Deeply disheartened by how Earth’s inhabitants (the hominids) fight among themselves and ravage the planet, she decides to abandon it—leaving Earth cast into permanent nocturnal darkness, adrift and alone.
This video was originally produced for a group exhibition in homage to the painting Un món [A World] by Ángeles Santos Torroella. It was later exhibited at the Walter Benjamin Foundation in Portbou as part of a show curated by Cristina Massanes. Additionally, it was screened at Galeria René Metras during the LOOP Fair & Festival 2012, and at Galeria Senda in 2016 as a tribute to Ángeles Santos Torroella.
